GRADENIK ("the App") is developed by Ramasonik Coding ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it's used, and your rights regarding that information.
Email address. GRADENIK requires an email address to use the grading feature. We use this to enforce our free-grade usage limit per person, to prevent abuse of the service, and to maintain continuity of your usage history if you reinstall the app. Your email address is stored on our server and is associated with your grading activity as described below.
Email verification. To confirm you own the email address you provide, GRADENIK sends a one-time 6-digit verification code to that address when you sign in. This code expires after a short period and is used only to verify sign-in; it is not stored beyond that verification step. Once verified, the App stores a session credential on your device so you don't need to re-verify on every use.
Grading responses and history. When you use GRADENIK to grade a comic book, the App sends your questionnaire answers (condition assessments you select) to our server to calculate a grade. We store a record of each grade produced, including the date, the resulting grade, and the country your request came from, associated with your email address, so that we can track your free-grade usage and maintain a history of your activity.
Country-level location. Our server automatically detects the country your request originates from (based on standard network-routing information), and this is stored alongside your grading history. We do not collect precise location, GPS coordinates, or city-level location.
Purchase information. If you buy a grade pack, GRADENIK sends the purchase details (the product purchased and a Google Play purchase token) to our server to verify the transaction with Google Play and credit your account. We store a record of each verified purchase, the product purchased, number of grades credited, and the date, associated with your email address, to maintain an accurate accounting of your grade balance.
Cover scan photos. GRADENIK lets you attach a photo of your own physical comic book to its entry in your collection, using your device's camera or photo gallery. These photos are stored only on your device, inside the App's own private storage — they are never uploaded to our server, never transmitted over the network, and are not included in your collection backup (see "Grading responses and history" above). We have no access to these photos and cannot see them. Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage will delete them, since no copy exists anywhere else. GRADENIK does not use these photos for AI image analysis; grading is based solely on the questionnaire responses you provide.
Permissions. GRADENIK requests camera and photo library access, used solely to let you attach a cover scan photo to a comic in your own collection, as described above. Beyond this, it requests no other sensitive device permissions: it uses basic internet access to communicate with our grading server, standard network-status checks, audio playback for in-app sound effects, and standard Android system permissions required for the app to run, including billing permission to process in-app purchases. It does not request access to your contacts, location, or microphone.
Rate limiting. To keep the service running smoothly for everyone, we automatically limit how many requests can be made from the same email address in a short period of time.
Device and diagnostic information. GRADENIK does not currently collect crash reports or device diagnostic information beyond what's described above.

We do not use your email address or grading history for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party. All data collected is used solely for internal purposes: running the App, verifying sign-in, processing purchases, enforcing free-usage limits, and improving how the App works.
GRADENIK's backend runs on Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare D1, which process grading requests on our behalf under their own security and privacy practices. Sign-in verification codes are delivered via Resend, a transactional email service, which processes your email address solely to deliver that one-time code on our behalf. Purchases made through the App are processed by Google Play Billing, and we verify completed purchases using the Google Play Developer API, governed by Google's own privacy practices. The App is distributed through Google Play, which has its own data handling practices governing installation and updates.
Grading data is stored securely and is used only to operate and improve the App. We take reasonable technical measures to protect this information from unauthorized access.
GRADENIK is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of information associated with your email address. Since your grading history is tied to the email address you provide, we can locate and act on these requests. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, contact us at the email below along with the email address used in the App, and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Purchase records. If you have made a purchase in the App, we retain a record of that transaction (the product purchased, grades credited, and date) even after a deletion request, for as long as required for financial recordkeeping, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. All other data associated with your account, including your email address, grading history, and free-grade usage record, is deleted upon a verified request. See our Data Deletion page for details.
This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information for ordinary personal use of the App. It does not itself grant any right to use the App, its output, or any grade it produces as part of a commercial comic grading, certification, authentication, or slabbing business. That use is governed separately by our Terms of Service, and requires a written GRADENIK Engine License Agreement. See our Terms of Service for details.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
